On April 18, 1938, the world was introduced to the first superhero. He looked like a circus strongman. He performed feats of strength and daring like Hercules or Tarzan. He defended the common man and stood up against evil and corruption. He was: Superman. Now 80 years later Superman has become an integral part of western culture and his influence can be seen across the world. In Part 2 of our homage to the Man of Steel, we run through the history of Superman over the airwaves as well as the big and small screens.
Last month saw the release of a ridiculous amount of amazing new trailers at San Diego Comic Con… and some pretty exciting news coming out of Disney’s D23 Expo. It’s like an eating contest of movie trailers and we’ll spend the next couple of hours digesting it all… Okay… that just sounds gross now.
She’s come to the world of men and we don’t deserve her. Much to the surprise of movie executives — but not movie fans — Wonder Woman has been the biggest success of the DCEU so far. Does it deserve that accolade? What do we want to see from a sequel? Also, we take a moment to say goodbye to another superhero: Adam West.
